Bird Cages

I bought this cage to serve both as a sleep cage and a travel cage. This cage is not intended to be used as a primary cage. I have seen a lot of junk cages out there but this is not one of them. The quality of this cage is excellent. I love the snap together design with no screws or bolts to mess with. And yes, it is just as sturdy (or more so) than being bolted together. Has slide out bottom tray for cleaning. Feeder cups are well thought out. Comes with a couple of items to truly make this travel cage complete and ready to go. I was so pleased with this brand and design that I bought a second one for our other parrot. This cage is only suited for a bird up to an African Grey in size. I've had this cage for several months now, and I really love this bird cage. It is a large size for our Feathers. For a cockatiel, I would say it is a little large because he really does not use the whole cage. Then again, he spends just about all his time on the play top anyway. I really think this play top helped to make our bird even more loving and social. Assemble of the cage was very easy, did not need any tools. The one thing that was missing is the footing off one of the legs where the wheel gets snapped into. This does make it difficult, because the cage sits on the wheels and ours wobbles because of the missing piece. This piece was to have already been installed, so it's not something that was missing from the accessory package, it was not installed at the factory. The coating on this cage is so wonderful, I love how easy it is to clean. There are two pull out trays, one for the play top and one for the bottom of the cage. These are big, and sort of heavy, trays. Because the cage is already so big, we did not put on the seed catchers/trays on the sides. This would have added another 4 inches on all sides (8 inches measuring front to back and side to side). We could not accommodate the extra space in our small home. I knew this in advance. My understanding is that I can add just one tray if I want to, which I probably will do. My bird eats on one side of the cage anyway, so I think I'll put the tray just on that side. Have not done that yet. I would buy this cage again in an instant. I would be willing to spend just a little more to purchase it. Pros: Beautiful finish, easy to assemble without tools, great access doors for food, water and treat dish; easy to clean pull-out tray; easy to attach seed guards (don't bend them too much or else the corners won't fit snuggly); the openings for nesting boxes are great, too; there is one ring for hanging toys; also includes touch-up paint in a nail polish bottle in case you ever need it; the wheels are decent enough to allow you to move the cage indoors and outdoors very easily (they're not super heavy duty, but very functional--no complaints) Cons: None; this is my second Avian Adventures cage; my original one was larger, sapphire and had two rings for hanging toys(bird: Orange-winged Amazon). I was very impressed and couldn't wait to get another one for my other bird (Indian Ringneck); highly recommend these cages to anyone.
