Bird Baths

I wanted to find something made of material that would hold up to some rough treatment because my fat :-) birds knocked the terra cotta bird bath off the chain and it fell on a rock and broke in two. I was concerned about copper being too shiny. The trend today seems to be bright blue and other colors which didn't suit my natural garden sensibilities. Took a little while to find this and I went with the rubbed bronze because moss green was not available in oak leaf pattern. It's beautiful and blends well into the western landscape here. Note: It has smooth edges (nothing to "grab" with feet) so it may take a little time for some larger birds to figure out how to perch steadily on it but, mine figured it out relatively quickly."..."  Read more

Better than expected. Decorative, solid and heavy. The bath is the right depth with good traction for the birds. The aluminum construction looks as though it will outlast me. The chain appears to be "real" brass, very heavy weight. If I had another tree to hang from I would buy another today."..."  Read more

This lovely birdbath is the focal point of the center garden of our front yard . It adds a classic look and a much needed watering spot for many visiting birds and small animals."

For a sailboat owner this was the perfect yard "toy". It's well made and looks as Salty as one would want. While I didn't purchase the matching stand for it, the sundail/birdbath would look good on just about anything. The only negative I could come up with was... I wish it was a little larger.
