Big is Good

This is our third Big John seat and we love it. We have 4 toilets and now 3 have these seats. If you are of any size greater then the norm then you will want this seat. It is very comfortable and there is no way it will break from a little (or a lot) of extra weight. It has a full circle of heavy duty rubber on the under side that keeps it from shifting during use and it will last a very long time before breaking down. The ones you can get from the stores didn't last very long because the tiny and cheap little tabs that are on the bottom of the seat that fit on the toilet would break off after less then a year, which leads to pinches and even having the seat just break. This one says it fits either a regular or elongated seat and it does. I have the elongated and the large rubber seal on the bottom fits it perfectly and it will also fit the normal regular seats. Stays where you put it, no shifting, no fear of breaking, no pinching, no need to replace every year. Love this seat. Only problem I can see is if you are a tiny person, especially one of age. You may be too small for this seat, maybe fall to far in to be of some use. If you are a large person with some extra weight then this one is for you. You won't be sorry.
sort of a good deal

seat itself is great as is the 2'' increase in height. My only concern is that the lid seems awful thin. My wife suggested that I not ever sit on it.Seat is for a 1000 lb and I'm only 375, yet when I sit on the actual lid it sort of caves in a bit. Too bad they didn't make lid as strong as the rest of the seat.
