It took me almost a year to decide to buy this set, because i wanted the best quality, and very ornate antique design, and affordable price, since i was going to get more than just the bed and 2 night-stands. I'm glad I finally bought it! Both me and my husband are pleased. This set looks like in the picture, except the color is a bit darker in real life, which was no problem to us. The distressing on the furniture is very light (thank goodness). Make sure you take into account that now-days most companies don't make their bed sets fully in solid wood. Although it says it is, it's basically a combination of solid wood, veneers and MDF which is used inside drawers etc. 100% solid wood you can get only by custom order, and it will cost you several times more then this set. I have total of 7 pieces from this collection, all are very well made and gorgeous. We originally bought the Armoire, but the movers couldn't get the top part (comes in 2 parts) up the stairs and into our bedroom, so sadly we had to return it [...]! So make sure your stairs will accommodate this furniture. It is big and heavy. Measure before you order. Our stairs are pretty standard size, but it has 90 degree turn, so they couldn't get the furniture thru, and it was way too heavy to lift above the railing. The price here on Wayfairs website is the best i could find for this set, and believe me i searched a lot, both online and in the stores. Don't hesitate to buy this set, you won't regret it! I AM RATING IT A 5 AS I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE THAT IT DOES APPEAR TO BE MADE OF SOME REAL WOOD. WE PURCHASED A DIFFERENT BED AS WELL, AND IT WAS HORRIBLE. THIS BED LOOKS JUST AS PICTURED, AND IS NICE. I HAVE SEEN THE SAME BED AT OTHER FURNITURE STORES, AND YOU MAY EVEN BE ABLE TO GET IT A BIT CHEAPER IF YOU LOOK AROUND.
