The quality of this bedroom set is top notch, with a deep, dark reddish brown (more emphasis on the red than as seen in the pictures - it's definitely an auburn as opposed to "root beer finish"). The wood is rich and smooth, and the construction is solid and very well made.The styling of the design has echoes of contemporary Asian themes (which is what I wanted) and the brushed nickel hardware looks very nice in contrast with the deeper hues of the wood.[...] I purchased the bed frame, two leg nightstands (though one had a large crack in it and is currently being exchanged), the dresser, and mirror (which includes sturdy rails in the back which the movers drilled/screwed the mirror on to the dresser with).A wonderful bedroom set that would look great in a guest bedroom or master bedroom. After shopping for a platform bed with clean lines and reasonable price in a lot of local stores [...] we bought this bed. I have read most reviews on this bed before purchasing. We could not be much more happier with this purchase. The bed looks great in our master bedroom. Simple and elegant. Feels Sturdy.They have added height adjustment to the middle legs (that support the slats). They work well. The side table did not look like a perfect match. Close enough for us considering the price and white glove delivery. Overall, great buy for a modern platform bed with clean lines and Zen like look."..."  Read more

I love this bed. I purchased it a couple years ago, and just got around to writing a review. The bed has held up extremely well. This bed is the exact same bed sold by [...] (at least a couple year ago) except for the small bolt covers on the front. I have to think they are buying from the same Manufacturer who did a small customization for them.It is a natural cherry color, sort of a mat finish, a little like a hand-rubbed natural cherry finish, but slightly more durable. The bed has gotten a slight bit darker with age. But doesn't creak/squeak at all. Very straight mission sort of style, but done in Cherry. The grain is very traditional cherry, fairly straight but with small dark occasional spots that give cherry a distinct look. Because the bed has been so stable (no cracks, or movement of the wood) I am sure it is a combination of solid cherry and cherry veneered plywood for the large panels. It has no particle/press board anywhere.The bed does sit a little higher off the floor than some beds, but I personally really like this look and feel. As a 5'11" adult I can sit on the edge and my feet do not touch the floor. The bed was simple to setup and has a frame system that securely holds our king size mattress and box spring.I also own 2 nightstands. They match perfectly. If there is any complaint on these it is that the drawers are too short, though I think they are as big as possible, I'm just too much of a pack-rat. These came fully assembled."..."  Read more

With regard to the above reviewer in Dayton...the downside to the internet buying age is that SOME people fail to educate themselves properly and make mistakes that probably wouldn't happen had they gone into a retailer's showroom and had the sales person explain it to them. A low profile bed is meant to be used with a low profile box spring or pallet. I'm willing to bet that the reviewers complaining of lack of support are trying to put the mattress directly on the supports, which is NOT how this setup is supposed to be used. The pallet or box spring is meant for support, as opposed to the platform beds which have 12 or so slats. A platform bed is meant for the mattress to go straight on it. When used properly, this is a great looking, sturdy bed mostly due to the height adjustable extra center legs which prevent 'sway'. The only downside for me is that this is a rather large bed and the room I put it in is small-ish, so it takes up a lot of space. But a great set nonetheless."..."  Read more
