I bought this set as a starter for my bedroom since I had no bedroom firniture at all. This is a very classy looking set. The color is beautiful and the pieces are heavy and seem to be sturdy. Besides the manufacturer slipping up and being a little sloppy on the finish on some of the pieces I really have no complaints. The set really is beautiful and I plan to complete the collection at a later date . I currently own the bed, 2 night stands and the chest. I would like to get the dresser and mirror."..."  Read more

We've had this truly beautiful set for a year. (bought Mar. '11). We have most all the pieces, even the bench, and they're really beautiful, Color is somewhat darker than it appears in the photos, dark enough to show dust quite well (!!), but the dark, rich color and interesting real burl veneer patterns contribute greatly to the beauty and make each piece unique. The website photos don't even do it justice. As far as function, all drawers slide beautifully, and the cedar-lined bottom drawers and felt-lined hidden jewelry drawers add real elegance -- plus convenience, and the "secret" drawers are just plain NEAT! The sleigh-style leather headboard is satisfyingly soft and incredibly comfortable, and slanted just right.for reading or watching tv in bed. Get this set -- you will love it. As far as Batista Furniture, they were wonderful to deal with, and the set arrived in perfect condition, sooner than promised, with immaculate white glove delivery and set-up.
