It took me almost a year to decide to buy this set, because i wanted the best quality, and very ornate antique design, and affordable price, since i was going to get more than just the bed and 2 night-stands. I'm glad I finally bought it! Both me and my husband are pleased. This set looks like in the picture, except the color is a bit darker in real life, which was no problem to us. The distressing on the furniture is very light (thank goodness). Make sure you take into account that now-days most companies don't make their bed sets fully in solid wood. Although it says it is, it's basically a combination of solid wood, veneers and MDF which is used inside drawers etc. 100% solid wood you can get only by custom order, and it will cost you several times more then this set. I have total of 7 pieces from this collection, all are very well made and gorgeous. We originally bought the Armoire, but the movers couldn't get the top part (comes in 2 parts) up the stairs and into our bedroom, so sadly we had to return it [...]! So make sure your stairs will accommodate this furniture. It is big and heavy. Measure before you order. Our stairs are pretty standard size, but it has 90 degree turn, so they couldn't get the furniture thru, and it was way too heavy to lift above the railing. The price here on Wayfairs website is the best i could find for this set, and believe me i searched a lot, both online and in the stores. Don't hesitate to buy this set, you won't regret it! We've had this truly beautiful set for a year. (bought Mar. '11). We have most all the pieces, even the bench, and they're really beautiful, Color is somewhat darker than it appears in the photos, dark enough to show dust quite well (!!), but the dark, rich color and interesting real burl veneer patterns contribute greatly to the beauty and make each piece unique. The website photos don't even do it justice. As far as function, all drawers slide beautifully, and the cedar-lined bottom drawers and felt-lined hidden jewelry drawers add real elegance -- plus convenience, and the "secret" drawers are just plain NEAT! The sleigh-style leather headboard is satisfyingly soft and incredibly comfortable, and slanted just right.for reading or watching tv in bed. Get this set -- you will love it. As far as Batista Furniture, they were wonderful to deal with, and the set arrived in perfect condition, sooner than promised, with immaculate white glove delivery and set-up. I was very hesitant about ordering furniture on-line. When the bed was delivered, I was amazed at the quality. It really looks like a heirloom piece of furniture and very solid. It is absolutely beautiful. I would not hesitate in ordering American Drew furniture in the future as the quality is top notch. I was slightly less than thrilled with the company that delivered it. When they were setting the bed up, they did not place the support legs in the proper place (although directions were enclosed.) But, that should be a small detail to fix."..."  Read more
