It does not look cheap at all! The only concern is these feet under and in the middle of the bed. I know it is necessary to hold the structure but there is noise due to the rubbing of the wood slates with the main wood piece under the bed. When I enter in the bedroom, I also can see the first foot under the bed... not sure i like this!
