With regard to the above reviewer in Dayton...the downside to the internet buying age is that SOME people fail to educate themselves properly and make mistakes that probably wouldn't happen had they gone into a retailer's showroom and had the sales person explain it to them. A low profile bed is meant to be used with a low profile box spring or pallet. I'm willing to bet that the reviewers complaining of lack of support are trying to put the mattress directly on the supports, which is NOT how this setup is supposed to be used. The pallet or box spring is meant for support, as opposed to the platform beds which have 12 or so slats. A platform bed is meant for the mattress to go straight on it. When used properly, this is a great looking, sturdy bed mostly due to the height adjustable extra center legs which prevent 'sway'. The only downside for me is that this is a rather large bed and the room I put it in is small-ish, so it takes up a lot of space. But a great set nonetheless."..."  Read more

This is a beautifully made, solid & sturdy bedroom set. I am 100% completely satisfied with the look and the quality of the unit, but I am blown away by the stupity of the people that assembled this for shipping.[...] but the ENTIRE bottom portion of the frame came pre-assembled. Unless you have 8-foot tall doors (rare) or have a double wide french door into the master bedroom, this will NOT fit into your bedroom. We have standard height doors and it wouldn't fit. There is NO way to make it fit without doing what I did.I took the bed apart in order to make it fit. I do not recommend this to most people as ALL of the parts are glued together as well as screwed in. It is very well made and you will use lots of profanity and risk damaging the product. The manufacturer could have easily assembled this in two parts so that you could actually get it into the room. It is still beautiful, but you absolutely MUST measure your door frames and any corners to see if this will fit. If not, you better be a solid (& careful) handy man to consider it. Spent 4 hours on day one taking parts off and trying to figure out how to get it in the bedroom. Spent 4 hours the next day once I figured it out."..."  Read more
