Good quality for Asian imported furnature, not premium quality which one would expect for the price, but good. The design, finish and varity of set-up options worked well. We couldn't use the canopy in our bedroom because our ceiling fan was in the way but the bed can be set up with out the canopy and it still looks good. Make sure you get a low profile box spring if you have a newer type pillow top matress, otherwise the bed is really high off the floor!
