The stainless steel makes a real diffrence in durability (the aluminum ones that come with the propane base might as well be made of tinfoil!) Service Review Excellent service from this company. We use it to boil down sap for maple syrup and it is perfect for the job. The accessories included we saved in case we want to try to deep fry a turkey. The thermometer is not detailed enought for syrup making, We need precise number readings to know when it is ready. (219F) The dashes on the dial are to small and only show when it is close. A relative has this product and we were impressed with the quality, the ease and safety of use with the lifter rod. It was easy to clean too. Service Review Prompt delivery. This product showed up at my door in the time frame specified, was packed well, no damage even though the box looked a bit travel weary. The price was unbeatable. It's tall, so it minimizes the boil over risk for oil. It would be great for large lobster/crab boils too. You could make a lot of stock too.
