In order to preserve the most usable area on the vanity top, we chose a single hole faucet. We needed the longest spout reach, and this faucet gave us 5 inches as opposed to about 4 inches on the monoblock faucets. The down side of a faucet that is not a monoblock is there is a channel where water splashes can collect. We have very hard water in our area so in places where water collects, the minerals accumulate. This Danze faucet meets the requirements for California's low lead. I have been looking for a faucet of this size and colour for years to replace a broken faucet in a powder room with a marble top vanity that I did not want to alter. I had low expectations of this faucet given the extremely reasonable price. I was VERY surprised when the faucet arrived. It is beautiful! It is quite heavy and looks very well made.
