Overall I love the Ultima Thule design. I used to live in Finland and this pattern evokes many memories for me. The one thing I would like to improve is the descriptors of the glasses. Iittala gives the glasses names like "whisky sour" and "old fashioned" and then "double old fashioned." Unless a person wants a few of eight different styles, it is hard to determine what glass is the most useful cocktail glass. I purchased the highball which is right for a highball or even a beer, but instead of "old fashioned" I think "double old fashioned" would be the better size for a drink like a gin- or vodka- tonic."..."  Read more

My husband and I now own the champagne, beer/water and coctail glasses of this design. We love them all. We use the beer glass as also a water glass so I'm hoping they stand up to the test of frequency.....and the constant run through the dishwasher. They are wonderfully weighty and yet elegant.
