Barstools

My wife wanted to buy similar stools from a major retailer that cost 3 times as much. We ordered (3) and she was very pleased with the style and quality of the stools. We use them at our kitchen island (the counter top is 36" high and these stools are perfect height). Assembly was pretty easy (I did make one mistake on the first stool I assembled. When screwing the dowel into the bottom - I had the dowel spun in the wrong orientation and the long wood screw went clean through the leg and out the other side - oops). Considering the cost, the chairs seem quite sturdy to me. Some feet may need to be leveled to eliminate minor uneveness - we used adhesive felt pads."..."  Read more

We just redid our kitchen and the cabinets are cream in color. We needed 24" stools for an island. I ordered a set of cream stools from another retailer and I waited for 1 month with the back order, the stools were almost yellow. I bought another set that broke while we assembled them. I googled what I wanted and these came up! [...] They match perfectly and are sturdy and comfortable! My husband is a carpenter and he is very picky! These stools look great with my new kitchen island. Before purchasing I read the other reviews and have to agree that the assembly wasnt very much fun. My husband and I made a game of it to see if we can beat one of the raters times of 45 minutes each! The assembly did take about 45 minutes each. Would have preferred that the large holes that you use to place the rungs would have had some type of covering after assembly...looks a little cheap. The stools look fantastic but frankly, I am very careful with them as they are not as strong as Id like, but for the price, very much worth it."..."  Read more
