This is a well made stool, very heavy duty despite it's appearance. Unlike lesser products this is not a build it yourself product. It comes fully assembled based on it's welded, not screwed and bolted frame. It is a slightly lighter walnut finish than the photo shows, in fact I covered it with two coats of a quality dark walnut stain that brought out the darker look I was after and really made the walnut grain pop!
