We were looking for a slightly taller than usual bar stool as the bar in our home theater was a few inches taller than typical, We had usual height bar stools in the kitchen that we tried in the theater and it was clear that people under 6 feet would need a phone book on the seat to get high enough to see the whole screen. So we looked for something taller and found these. perfect in every way. There were many, many finish choices. There were no flaws in the ones we got. If you have a bar counter that's a bit high, or you have family members who are a bit short, then look long and hard at these.

I spent over a year looking for barstools for a spectator height bar a contractor built me during a kitchen remodel. I should have insisted he build a lower bar, as the stools are hard for even adults to get in and out of easily (36" seat height).
