Barstools

Positives: Great value for the price. I was looking for inexpensive bar stools that were functional but didn't look inexpensive. These chairs look great. Really nice design....they look very chic. I had such a hard time finding adjustable chairs that would work with the two different counter heights in my kitchen (36" and 45"). These chairs are perfect as I can lower them all the way down for the 36" counter and raise them all the way up for the 45". Opportunities for improvement: The gas lift gives slightly when you first sit in the chair, but then it stays in place, so not a problem. Purchased a pair of these after getting (and returning) two 'Scooper' chairs from another source -- both had cracked fiberglass seat 'stems'. These are MUCH better, although a bit more pricey. Made in China, unfortunately, but much better packaging -- which probably made the difference in them getting here without damage. Not extremely comfortable, but they look very nice. The manufacturer apparently ditched the plastic adjuster lever knob, as mine have chrome oversized extensions...I'd read elsewhere that other purchasers had broken knobs upon arrival..."..."  Read more
