I like the turned leg and the big, thick rush, natural colored seat. These barstools look much nicer than equally priced barstools from import stores. They are comfortable to sit on. There are two minor problems: the seat is such a big square that the barstools don't tuck away under my counter like my little, old, cheap barstools did, but they look so much nicer being big. Also they only have one cross piece on the legs so that I can't raise my knees up for a change of position. I think the stools look great, so I the single knee position is worth the trade-off. They were easy to put together, and they look great. i was impressed by the quality, and because they have a fairly big footprint, they are sturdy and not tippy. I bought this counter stool to use while cooking due to knee issues. The seat is comfortable and very well made. The stool is beautiful and gets lots of comments from guests. Unfortunately, I am too short to sit on it for the purpose it was purchased, so I bought a different John Boos stool. I offer my Ashville swivel stool to my guests in the kitchen or bar.
