I'm completely happy with these barstools. I had never heard of "para wood," I was afraid it was some kind of composite. It turns out it's a very attractive and satisfyingly heavy wood, from a type of rubber tree. I bought the unfinished stools to paint, but hesitated when I saw how nice the wood grain was. Once built, a nice sturdy stool. They look pretty neat unfinished, so we haven't even got around to staining them yet. One day! Construction isn't too bad, although left over wood ends, from drilling can complicate screws matching their threads.
