We purchased two of the 30 inch Carol custom stools and two "non-cushion" Aloha barstools for our 43 inch tall kitchen bar to try and cut down the overall cost (by not buying 4 of these more expensive stools). We purchased the 30 inch stool and found the height to be much better than the 29 inch Aloha stools we purchased. We've had the stools for approximately 2.5 months and we wished we would have paid the extra money to buy 4 of the Carol stools.They look great, and are far more comfortable with the cushion and back rest on them. There are 4 of us in our family and we often race to the bar to get the "good stool" (Carol stool) first. That kind of says it all![...] We discovered that we have additional room for more barstools and will definitely be purchasing the Carol stools. I initially saw these chairs on an internet video as I was looking for design ideas for a very small condo that I recently purchased. I searched for over 3 months before finding these chairs online. I made my purchase (26" 4 bar stools & table) on 10/14/10 and have finally moved them into the condo (1/2/11). My husband and 2 sons (11&14) were able to put the stools together fairly quickly. My 14 y/o helped my husband with the 1st 2 stool and then he and his younger brother put the other 2 together. The stools fit perfectly under the table. The stools are way too short for my bar. I was hoping I could use for both areas. The 30" stools would have been too high for the table but would have worked for the bar. I purchased to the table as a space saver so we could have somewhere to play our board games on and to put neatly away (under the bar) when not in use. The stools seem that they may need to be dusted frequently as they needed to be wiped down after initially trying them due to shoe residue. The seat cushions look nice and are comfortable. We just finished out basement and added a bar. Since we just spilled an ungodly amount into the project (over budget), we wanted to go light on the bar stools. We had been seeing stools for about $400 a piece. Fortunately, we came across these and were a little hesitant for the price. But with the return policy, we figured we would put one together and see how it fits the room. Not sure if we got lucky, but these stools are a perfect color match! The assembly was not difficult, just time consuming. There are several bolts and nuts to tighten, tough angles, but not "hard". As I assembled them, I saw that these were good quality. VERY comfortable (another fear of ours going into this). My wife would like these a little higher, but that is more our issue as we set the bar top at 42". We simply sacrificed not having arms on the stools, but you can NOT beat the price for the quality you get. I highly recommend these for a casual bar setting."..." Read more

I have 5 of these stools and love them! They are black wood stools with black vinyl seats. The seats are comfortable and easy to clean. They are swivel seats and the seat height is 24 inches, but with the seat cushion, it is more like 25 1/2 inches. The height of the chair back is 38 1/2 inches. There are 2 sizes of this particular stool on the Wayfair.com website - be sure to check the dimensions carefully before you order because there is a taller bar stool, this one is considered a counter stool."..."
