This chair is the perfect height for the balcony in a high-rise condo because it's taller than a standard chair height so it's tall enough to be looking comfortably over the railing without being so tall, as with a bar height stool, that you feel like you're going to fall over the railing. I've only had it a few days, but it appears to be well built. Just the right weight. It feels nice to sit in. The problem with it is finding a table or counter that matches the height. This company is exactly what I was looking for. I have a nonstandard height counter between my kitchen and family room and the standard height counter stools in stores are either too short or much too tall. Being able to custom select the height and fabric of the seat was wonderful. I really thought I was never going to be able to find the appropriate height stool for my counter. It was more difficult unpacking than to assemble! I had three stools assembled in 15 minutes although it took 30 minutes to get them all out of the boxes. One tip: take the time to remove the seat (this is not included in the instructions) and take off the plastic before you assemble. Frankly, I did not think to do this until after I had put the first stool together and tried to cut off the plastic, which was not a good idea. The stools are the perfect height for my kitchen bar. They are a little taller than other stools, which was perfect for me.I bought my first set of barstools from here, and lost money because they were way too short.
