I spent months building a tiki bar from bamboo I scrounged from many sources. I was looking for a sturdy bar stool for the front of the bar but real bamboo didn't seem sturdy enough. These bar stools caught my eye and I couldn't be happier. They are very sturdy and well constructed. They look outstanding in front of the bar because they look so much like bamboo. But the metal construction is very strong and I feel they will last a long time. They are an outstanding buy. My only complaint is the instructions which are very basic. I had to do a little head scratching when setting up the base part, but everything worked out and I am very happy with the final package. I would buy these again with no qualms. Barstools are used at a kitchen island. They are very comfortable and sturdy. The only problem we've encountered is that the metal backs can damage the granite counter tops when the stools are swiveled around. We've had to pad the upper portions of the metal backs to prevent this."..."  Read more
