I bought this blender because it was highly reviewed in several reputable places as being a "best buy" in my price range. I don't use a blender everyday - a few times a week at most, so i wasn't needing a super nice one. Overall i think it does it's job - but it does have a hard time with getting "air pockets" which causes it to stop "blending" and pulling the food down in to the blades. You to need to shake the canister to remedy this, which IMO isn't a big deal. Almost all blenders i have tried in this price range do this. It did blend my smoothie and my milkshake very very well. Much better than previous blenders for sure. And it didn't have any issues blending ice either - which is a huge plus. It was very easy to clean and assemble which i like - and if you don't want to use the spout, you don't have to. It comes with a "plug" to insert there instead. Overall i think its a great blender for the price!"..."  Read more

pros: It's heavy duty and works well. I make smoothies as my primary use for the blender and add a handful of spinach. The blender really blends the green leaves into nothing, there are no little green pieces left. Easy clean. One piece container is easy to squirt some liquid soap in and water and blend on stir to clean the blades. I also use a dish scrub brush to clean the insides of the container and lid. Blenders really only need a low and high speed. Kitchen aid one has a couple more options for speed, but way less than many other blenders that confuse you with thinking the buttons really do something. cons: It is loud. I can stand it but my kids complain. The base is heavy. So it's nice to be able to have counter space to keep it. But the heaviness is a nice comfort knowing it's heavy duty and works. I wanted a blender that I didn't have to stop every time to mix up with a spoon. I still have to do that with this one. I think that I just need to add more liquid. But somethings I don't want more liquid added so it's a pain to have to keep using a spoon. Kind of smells. I hoped that it would go away and just be a new product kind of smell. But I've had it for almost 6 months and it still smells..."..."  Read more

We've made so much with the Magic Bullet since it arrived a couple of weeks ago: Strawberry-pineapple smoothies, shakes, coffee drinks, even sauces. (I made a cilantro cream sauce to put on some fish tacos, as well.) What I love about the Magic Bullet: - The blender starts with the simple press of the top of the canister (which is closed and then inverted onto the base). Simply press and turn to cause the blender to keep running hands-free. - Two blades: One more geared for chopping and one for whipping. - Four handled cups for instant serving, each with a different colored lip guard for comfortable drinking. - It is so versatile: It purees drinks and sauces as well as lightly chops vegetables for chutneys and salsas. What we're not crazy about: - It's a bit loud. (But I've never really met a blender that isn't.) - The plastic nodules on the top of the cups are sharp; I have learned I have to screw the base and lip guards on with a towel around it to protect my hand from getting scraped. All in all, the Magic Bullet is a handy appliance that I'm glad I have added to our kitchen. It and all of its pieces fit into a basket that I can easily store away for trouble-free access."..."  Read more

I LOVE this personal blender. I use it daily, as do my husband and son. We each make our own morning shakes with frozen fruit, milk and protein powder. It's nice that we can choose our own ingredients, so I can make mine with almond milk and flax, and my son can use regular milk and his favorite frozen berries. The cups that come with the blender don't hold a lot of ingredients, so I bought the XL cups on the side. I also bought more travel lids, since we take our smoothies with us. I have not found anything the blender won't blend. We've blended ice, frozen fruit, fresh fruit and vegetables (great for making omelets!) and have added many different kinds of liquid to it. It literally takes less than a minute to create your own smoothie and at a fraction of the cost of the smoothie joints. The cups say that they must be hand washed, and they do clean up just fine with hot water and a dab of soap, but I have run them in the dishwasher with no adverse effects."..."  Read more
