This was purchased as a functional, utlilty shelving. Extra space was needed to clear the clutter off counters in the kitchen. It arrived in perfect condtion, and exceeded expectations on assembly, just pulled it out of the box and the shelves just fell into place...well designed piece. No tools or reading instructions. It is a quality made addition to the kitchen, very sturdy, have several much used appliances on the lower shelves. A heavy pottery fruit bowel, at center. Hold teapots and cannisters of loose teas at top. The one dissappointment was this rack is smaller than we thought(We may have measured wrong). It is sweet, charming in a very french way.
