|When Back to Basics set out to make Back to Basics, they wanted to create a food that truly mimics what a dog would eat in the wild. The result? A food that is as close to what nature would offer in meeting the instinctive needs of your dog.
Remaining true to their instinctive philosophy, Back to Basics starts with real organ meat as the number one ingredient. In the wild, dogs naturally go for organ meats because they’re nutrient-dense and they taste great. They then round out our high-protein diet with green carbohydrates, like field peas. This allows them to keep their formulas free from grain, gluten and potatoes, providing a food that more closely mirrors a diet that your dog would naturally eat in the wild.
At Back to Basics, they extend their focus on quality to everything they do. That's why every bag is carefully crafted in small batches in their very own small town of Meadville, Pennsylvania by a family that has been solely focused on making the best food and treats for over five generations.
Back to Basics believe instincts are important. And by following theirs, they've been able to create a food that's simply better than any other dog food.
