Great cage for the price, but 2 pieces came bent. It worked out at the end. Large enough for my blue fronted amazon, he's very comfortable and enjoys it.

The cage is great , but the height was listed in the description as 63" . At the cage's tallest point , the Dometop cage is only 58" inches . Disappointed in the height. Overall quality and look are great.

After several months researching cages and searching out reviews I finally made the decision to purchase the Avian Adventure Chiquita Dometop Cage. Ordered online, received the cage in four days. The outside of the two shipping boxes were beaten and torn, but the cage was fine inside. Only one scratch on the underside of one of the seed guards. It was simple to put together, well designed, attractive cage and if the paint holds up should last many years.

Product Review

The only thing that would make this better is if the locks to the doors were about 1/2 inch longer. I think if my bird pushed on the door it would pop open.

I've had two of these cages, [*], for several years. They arrived with parts NOT fitting together properly, bad welds, parts bent and today we find that the seed guards are not welded properly, i.e. we have had to screw them together as they don't fit properly and fall to the floor, but the parts we are screwing it to are not welded properly in the first place. I sent photos to Midwest (manufacturer, [*]), after we first got them and repaired them to make them usable and I got one response that glossed over the problem not admitting their responsibility, offering no help, no reparations NOTHING!! I wish I had purchased cages from any other company than Midwest. Yes, these cages are CHEAP, in every way. They are real junk, hopefully without lead in the powdercoat, but who knows. We have had to get folks to do repairs on these ages, one Mediana dome top and one Mediana with play top. They are the worst excuse for cages, labor outsourced to save money from a country with a history of abuse in manufacturing, whose products have killed animals. I also had their travel cages and threw them out when they failed to be safe for travel. Go figure. Avoid at all cost. In good conscience I could not sell these cages so I am stuck with them. You have a choice. Don't buy these.

Bought two Diamond Doves, 1 1/2 mo. later two babies. Needed room so they could fly around. Went on line and saw this cage at an unbelievable price.[...]This is no small bird cage either. Well my four doves are loving it and so aren't we. No more babies. This cage is so well made that even my husband was blown away. Didn't even have to ask twice for his help to assemble, which was again unbelievable, it all just fits together, no screws or anything. Perfect, worth every penny, now they have REAL FREEDOM!!!!!!!! Shipped fast and received so quick we couldn't believe it. It was in excellant condition mainly due to the packaging of the product. It was kind of heavy so we were worried about the shipping but no need too. Did not need to contact customer service, but sure they would be just as great as the rest of this experience. Thanks.

Pros: Beautiful finish, easy to assemble without tools, great access doors for food, water and treat dish; easy to clean pull-out tray; easy to attach seed guards (don't bend them too much or else the corners won't fit snuggly); the openings for nesting boxes are great, too; there is one ring for hanging toys; also includes touch-up paint in a nail polish bottle in case you ever need it; the wheels are decent enough to allow you to move the cage indoors and outdoors very easily (they're not super heavy duty, but very functional--no complaints) Cons: None; this is my second Avian Adventures cage; my original one was larger, sapphire and had two rings for hanging toys(bird: Orange-winged Amazon). I was very impressed and couldn't wait to get another one for my other bird (Indian Ringneck); highly recommend these cages to anyone. They're a great value (though somewhat expensive, but I expect that for the value).
