I work as a meals clerk with a large Chain grocery.we cook complete meals and give customers samples several times a day.We have used electric skillets . and an old electric hot plate that took at least thirty min. to biol water. Our company has now switched to this induction hotplate and we aredelighted with it. I don't know how long it will hold up under the work load but so far it is great. Our store now sells this product. I am going to buy one to use with my out door kitchen

I'm redoing my kitchen so I haven't used this a lot yet. I tried it out and it brought water to a full boil in about 7 minutes at 400f. I really like the easy clean up. I've always hated cleaning electric cooktops. It has a nice modern, slick look to it. Not what you would think of as a traditional hotplate.

Service Review

Delivery was fast, and it was packed well so no damage at all. I did have to call customer service because the manual that came with it was a little unclear as far as type of cookware you can use. (this is my first experience with induction cooking) The Hotplates.Com rep was very helpful and even called the manufacturer to clarify. Basically if the bottom of the cookware will hold a magnet it's ok to use. So if you're going cookware shopping bring a magnet with you:)

Description of this model does not tell you that it works ONLY with the pan supplied.Other pans CANNOT be used for cooking. This is a BIG DISADVANTAGE!!

We use this every day for cooking our meals. We don't use a stove. We rely on basic functions and have yet to learn all it can do. It is very quick to heat and easy to clean. It is a Big help to have this. We were happy to get the included pan. We thought a different pan would work at first and couldn't figure out why the unit would give an 'E6' reading and turn off. It was the pan we Thought should work, that Didn't. We Should have gotten one with space for 2 pans. We are still learning, but this thing is great.

You can boil water or use it to cook pasta but the heat is not steady, comes and goes.

Easy to clean, but the included pan is poor quality.

I love using the hot plate at my cabin but I am constantly working to keep it from scorching my food. It has a hot ring that no matter what I do, or how low I set the temperature, it still scorches. Skillet that comes with it is very inexpensive -- one I would never purchase myself.

I USE IT TO MAKE COMPLETE MEALS , SUCH AS COOK THE PASTA FIRST THEN BROWN THE MEAT WHILE ADDING SAUCE ! THE HEATING CONTROLS ARE SO PRECISE , ONCE WATER IS AT A BOIL YOU CAN DROP DOWN A LEVEL OR TWO TO KEEP IT BOILING EVEN WITH THE FOOD COOKING IN IT , OR KEEP ON LOW TO HAVE A LONG LASTING SIMMER ! IT CLEANS UP WITH A DAMP CLOTH AND IT IS SO SAFE TO USE ! EVEN IF YOU PLACE YOUR HAND ON THE SURFACE EDGE , ITS JUST WARM , ONLY THE POT TO HOTPLATE AREA IS SUPER HOT ! AND IT STORES AWAY SO EASY IN MY TINY APARTMENT !
