Great cooker, egg tray, not so good. from Minnesota on 04/16/2011
We have had this cooker for about 3 years. The original tray that holds eggs for hard or soft boiling lasted about a year, the it cracked. When this tray is cracked, the cooker does not work right - it needs to be sealed to cook correctly. We are now on our 3rd plastic tray. When you order a replacement tray, you get the tray, the poached egg pan and the measuring glass. You cannot order just the tray. The cost is almost as much as a new cooker. This would be a great small appliance if the plastic egg tray were made better. Thinking of trying another brand.

West Bend Automatic Egg Cooker from Miami Springs, FL on 01/20/2013 – Verified Buyer
Review this product in 20 words or more...It works good with medium eggs. Any eggs larger than this would probably overflow the poacher and make a mess.

What a mess!!! from Carlisle, PA on 06/12/2011 – Verified Buyer
In all fairness, I can only make a comment about the poached egg feature of this egg cooker. I always buy jumbo eggs and in the past have used an aluminum manual poached egg pan on the stovetop without any problems. The poached egg cups in this cooker have to be used with the smallest eggs you can find. They are so very, very small that when I cracked the jumbo eggs and started to put them into these cups, almost all of the whites overflowed into the water under the cups. Silly me, I still tried to cook the poached eggs and what a mess that turned out to be. I have yet to try to soft or hard boil eggs in the cooker because I'm afraid the jumbo eggs would not get done in there either. I believe I wasted my money on this one and also believe West Bend should have something on the box telling you what size eggs you can and/or cannot use. Very disappointed!!!!!

Great Egg Cooker from Santa Fe, NM on 07/31/2011 – Verified Buyer
Ordered another egg cooker after mine that I had for 20 years finally died. Hated the first one, it did nothing right. Then I ordered this one and I love it. It poaches great and hard boils to perfection. I have to use more water than it says maybe because I live at 7000+ feet above sea level. Great product, I am very happy with it.

Great egg cooker! from Illinois on 10/25/2010 – Verified Buyer
I use this cooker at least twice a week. The instructions for the water level were not useful in the least. The numbers for soft boiled eggs and poached eggs simply have no correlation to how many eggs you want to make. I don't understand that at all. Ignore the instructions. After a few practice runs and trial and error, I finally have it down pat. I make perfect poached eggs. The cooker is easy to clean and very compact. I just leave it sit on the counter. I am sure I will be using this for years to come. A very good buy - just be patient and you too will be able to make the perfect eggs.

Awesome for kids, easy for moms! from Denver, CO on 01/08/2011 – Verified Buyer
I got the Automatic Egg Cooker as a gift and let me tell you, there's no easier way to cook poached eggs! I had to tweak the amount of water that we add--since we like our eggs more runny-- but other than that, it's quick and easy. I've even taught my 3 year old how to use it (with supervision, of course!) and she loves making breakfast each morning. Clean up is super easy, too. We love this product!

Works great from Moneta, Va on 06/12/2011 – Verified Buyer
It works great. The alarm could be louder but other than that it is great. Much easier to clean than my lasr one I had.

Best Bridal Shower gift ever! from Moss Point, MS on 07/14/2008 – Verified Buyer
Preparing one egg or a "full load" is a snap. Quick, healthy preparation allows us to enjoy favotite dishes more often. Deviled eggs are a super way to add a special touch to an "unexpected company" dinner; poached eggs are healthier than fried; chopped/shredded hard-boiled egg adds pizzaz to salads! Wonderful gift for any occasion!

Works like a charm! from La Verne, CA on 10/16/2009 – Verified Buyer
[...]Even with the use of non-stick spray on the poacher tray, it was quite time consuming to clean.
