I have 3 of these and the build quality is consist between the three. I bought three because they look like paired up next to each other, but if I move and need to split them up, I have that ability. For the price they are a nice storage option. I knocked off one star since the backing is slightly too big. You really need to take your time to make sure its sitting flush, which is really hard to do when you're hammering away otherwise it will hangover the top (or worse over the bottom). If they had given less then half an inch of wiggle room, you would still have enough room to mount it properly without the headache. My best advice after building tons of particle board furniture is to remember you are BUILDING something. Take your time, make sure you're driving all your screws straight and tight and make sure everything is sitting as level as possible. Half the people that give two star ratings and complain about loose furniture did a terrible job of putting it together.
Very Nice Unit, Alot of Assembly
Kayla from Cameron, NY– Verified Buyer
I really like this unit, it is sturdy and looks very sharp. I'm actually planning to buy another as a matching set since it matches my other espresso furniture perfectly. However, it was alot of assembly that I really wasn't expecting. I mean it is like every single piece has to be put together, and you essentially end up making 3 bookshelves and putting those together because the side pieces come as separate sections.

If you're looking for a high-quality piece of furniture, keep looking. BUT...if you're looking for functional, economical item, this is it.For less than $40, this is perfectly adequate for my needs. I'm able to to store my DVDs in a reasonably attractive unit. I was pleased to find this item in "espresso" so that it matches my other furniture.[...].The assembly was easy--the instructions were clear. It took about 30-45 minutes, using a Phillips screwdriver, a flat screwdriver and a hammer.Just one thing: I wish there were a couple extra dowels. I broke two while I was assembling it--I put them in the wrong pre-drilled holes, and I broke them when I had to remove them. I'm sure these are inexpensive pieces and it would have been nice if the manufacturer included extras. Fortunately, I had some extra dowels from another item that I bought some time ago. They fit, and it was OK. (Glad I didn't throw them away!) Otherwise, I would have had a problem. Here's a hint: from my experience with inexpensive assemble-yourself furniture, I've learned to use some Elmer's wood glue--a few drops in the pre-drilled holes where the dowels are inserted really helps with the stability of the item.
Great little storage shelf
Delri from Loveland, CO
I actually needed this to store canned goods and it fit the bill beautifully. I only had a narrow area to use and this was exactly the right fit. It holds a lot of cans and boxed items. I also bought a second one and used it as intended and it held all my CD's with some left over space. It is sturdy and perfect for what I needed. You won't be sorry if you buy it!

These storage racks were just what we were expecting. They weren't hard to assemble and they are leaning against the wall really well. They do have hardware to attach to the wall if you want. The size and color are just as pictured.

This multimedia rack was necessary to store our growing movie collection. The unit is easy to assemble and has worked well for our DVDs, blu-rays, and our remaining VHS tapes. It has been sturdy and I have a small lamp and scented wax melter on the top. It even looks great next to our shorter, wider cherry-colored multimedia storage rack.
I now have several racks around the house!

These shelves have been a godsend to help me organize, CDs, DVDs, cassettes and even paperback books all over my house. I have actually lost count of how many I have, but I do know that I have three different finishes. Assembly was pretty straight forward with repetitive steps.

Nice rich color which gives it a great look. Assembling took longer than expected and was quite tedious. Be prepared to spend some time putting it together.
Summit Multimedia Storage Rack

The quality is pretty much what I was expecting. However, it is thin. The backboard is thin and the nails that are provided don't have big enough heads. But it does look nice. Easy to put together and it fits in the space I need to put it in.

I needed shelving for CD's and some other media that doesn't fit else where. Yes, I still use CD's. The spot where I wanted to place it was a little tricky. This had to be just the right size, and it was. Easy to assemble. Very happy with my purchase.
