The best bunkbed I've found
Elizabeth from Midlothian, VA – Verified Buyer
After a pretty exhaustive search, I decided to purchase this bed made by Atlantic furniture. Since we were replacing and buying two rooms of furniture, I was trying to stick to a tight budget, and these beds are worth the price and really much more. They are very sturdy, so much so that they do not require a bunkie board under the top mattress(which is an extra expense if you buy a cheaper bunk bed), and at least as attractive as beds I considered that cost more than twice as much. We use it in our five-year-old son's room, but we've had some sleep overs with it, too, and with two busy boys climbing up and down many times, I am really impressed by the wear and tear the bed has taken without showing it. It still isn't wobbling or needing any tightening of screws. The drawers are nice and deep. We use them to store extra bedding and sweaters and sweatshirts. I was happy, too, when I realized that since the drawers are about as deep as half the bed, I can use a few space bags to store out of season clothing behind the drawers without anyone seeing. My only complaint is really just a preference. I have trouble making up the mattress on the bottom because the ladder attaches to the bed. I do think that is the best and safest way to have a ladder on a bunk bed, but it does complicate the process of replacing fitted sheets. With that said, I would buy this bed again in a second.
