Armoires

I really love my armoire. It looks very nice in my bedroom. The lighting in the online picture doesn't truly depict how the armoire looks in my bedroom due to a lighting difference. I'm not sure how many people have "showroom" lighting in their bedrooms. Perhaps it would have been better to take the picture in natural light. The armoire does not look as grainy as I thought it would based on the picture, and the wood is still rich but just not as dark (more brown than the black). The three drawers work perfectly for under garments and socks. I know that this piece is quite versatile and can work in just about any room of the home to add a touch of flair & elegance. I use the armoire for hanging shirts. There's ample room to hang 20-30 button down shirts, sort of touching each other. The pewter pulls are simple and elegant as well. Perfect for my bedroom office, just as advertised. Solid comes without the feet mounted. With one of those TV furniture movers we picked it up mounted the screw on feet and moved it into the bedroom. Looks nice not cheap, finish is nice lots of wood and very heavy. Only thing I am going to add is a slide out tray for the CPU to make it easier to install the cables. Other than that they thought of everything. I was worried that something this big would be an issue in transportation. We are in Florida the armoire came from Pennsylvania. It was Triple packed with cardboard on a very heavy cardboard pallet. Took me about ½ hour with a raiser knife to cut the heavy cardboard and packing material off the armoire. I purchased this armoire for my baby's room because I didn't want to get a tiny dresser that wouldn't be able to be used when she's older. It took me months to find an armoire in my price range that was in stock. Surprisingly, the armoire came fully assembled! I ordered the dark cherry color and it matches perfectly all of the other cherry furniture in the room (the plain cherry looked too light in the photo). It comes with a hanging bar that can be removed. The only small complaints I have are 1) the right door magnetic piece to close had to be adjusted slightly and 2) I wish the bottom shelf was able to be moved farther down (I ended up putting larger things like blankets and diapers down there). This computer armoire is a substantial piece of furniture. In fact, when I had all the pieces laid out on the floor to put it together, I stubbed my toe on a piece and thought I broke my toe - the wood is so heavy! This is a very well made piece and comes with very clear instructions for assembly. Relatively quick to set up, but some diffculty with getting parts to fit together. But, this minus is actually a plus because once together, the armoire is VERY sturdy and very attractive. Looks like it cost $1000+. Attractive finish and very functional. I would highly recommend this armoire to anyone who would like a piece of furniture that looks as if it came from a high-end retailer, but who doesn't want to pay high-end prices."..."  Read more
