The cat tree has been up nearly a month now. My two cats (about 18 and 12 lbs) chase each other up & down, in & out they hit the second level, jump up to third, fourth, & fifth level with ease...with a running start. They lounge on it constantly. I'm as entertained as they are, and so very pleased with quality, the faux fur, the height & width. The box was delivered to front door and weighed a ton (or so it seemed). If I was not able to drag it in I would have opened the box on the steps and brought it in piece by piece (but it had a good, strong cord around it, so no need to open on steps). Once in the house, I checked to make sure all parts were there. Parts are labeled making it very easy to assemble. I'm 60+, 5'2 and in good health. I had absolutely no problem putting it together in around 30 minutes...the cats couldn't wait, they started to climb it as soon as level two went up. I already own a much smaller Amarkat cat condo, but the cats needed something bigger. I know if any part of the condo needs replacement I can order from Amarkat. If you love your cat(s) buy them a cat condo...they love the smaller one, & used it until I got this bigger one. They have a bird's eye view to the outside world (I've set it up in front of the picture windows). This new, big one reaches nearly to the top of the window. The smaller one was half as high.
Stable, Fun, and Convenient

As a long time cat owner I have learned that having a cat tree of some sort is an absolute must. Before we ever had one, our furniture suffered terribly and small scratching posts were not enough to distract the cats from it. From the moment we gave the cats their own furniture, a cat tree with shelves for watching out the window and posts for scratching on every level, they totally ignored our furniture. I have berated myself for the previous years of furniture damage, pre-tree, and we will never be without one again. The main selling points of this tree for me are: • The extra shelf area afforded by the second row shelves that extend past the base. This gives a lot more play, lounging, etc. area in a multi-cat house. I even use that area now for feeding as well. • Large perches. We have large (Maine Coon) cats and need perches they can actually use. • Large sized condo. Our previous cat tree, though very nicely made, had an upright 13" diameter cylindrical condo with a shelf half way up. Our cats could never use it, they did not even fit in. This was a deal breaker for any cat tree I compared while shopping this time. Now with a large enough house both cats use it frequently. • Interesting and varied play and perch areas. • Stability. I was skeptical while building it that the height and the extending second row shelves would make it easy to tip but have been very happily surprised that this is a very sturdy design and even with large cats bouncing around on it, I have not had to worry about tip-overs. • All posts are sisal covered. This is a great selling point for me. Our previous cat tree had some sisal and some carpet covered posts. The carpet was torn up more quickly than the sisal and started looking ratty even though they seemed to prefer to scratch the sisal more. Granted, sisal eventually will shred as well but I have found it is not so onerous to re-wrap sisal posts with new rope. Questionable points: • This may be too large for some people but I would still recommend it for anyone that can manage to fit it into their homes. • The hammock may be very attractive to some cats but ours have not been interested in it. This has not been a problem as I just saved that cylinder condo from the old cat tree, took the shelf out and lay it horizontal in place of the hammock. That cylinder, in a horizontal position, no shelf taking up room, and open on both ends, is actually large enough for the cats to crawl through. They love the two doors, now on top, to squeeze, peek, and play through. • Our old cat tree was covered in carpet which not only gave some padding for more comfort but also was very durable. I put a little cushion inside the condo to make it more comfortable so mostly that is not a huge issue. I have never had faux fur covered cat furniture before so will have to learn how durable it is as a surface. So far (after only a couple of months) it is showing no signs of wear. Our previous carpet covered tree lasted about 8-9 years, though it was starting to get a bit ratty looking toward the end. In General This is a very nicely designed cat tree. It was easy to assemble and came with a little wrench for tightening it up. I had my sons help hold things together till screws were set but it was not necessary. They both just wanted to help build it so much and it turned out to be a fun if short family project. It was wider than I expected with the two shelves that stick out on each side. I had mostly gone by the base size and figured it would fit where our old cat tree sat based on that. We have a smallish living room so it takes up some room but no more than a large reclined chair in floor area. To make up for how much room it takes, it is extremely fun for the cats, giving them a lot of perching and scratch post area. We have it sitting next to a large window so they use it constantly, not only for play but also to hang out on and watch the world. They have loved it since I put it up. It was a tight fit because of my measuring error but once I managed to fit it into the space needed, I have been very pleased with the extra shelf area on the first level up, as it gives the cats more room and also allows us to feed them there. With a new kitten this has been useful in being able to feed each cat on its own shelf and avoid altercations as they learn how to get along together. Feeding on the cat tree is a new thing for us but I am thrilled with being able to have a central location for both their play and feeding. I do not water them there, however, both because our cats have always wanted to drink in the bathroom sink (we have had to keep a water bowl on the counter to accommodate this) and because I worried about water spills during play. A few crunchies scattered around, if it happens, is not nearly so messy.
72" Classic Cat Tree in Beige

I bought this beautifully well made cat tree for my sons little 10 week old kitties! I thought that it would be a good 3-4 months before they would be brave enough to try and climb this 6 foot tree! Boy, was I wrong! They started climbing all over it within the first few days! Mind you, these are tiny little 10 week old kitties! They really love it and so does my son! It took my husband and I about 1&1/2 hours to put it together. I love that it has many sisal posts for scratching and also the soft warmth of the fur over all other parts! If you have a lot of space in your room, this tree is the one. They also love to snuggle in the hammock! Get it, you won't regret it! Thank-you again Wayfair for this wonderful product!
Amazing cat tree for the price.

I got this cat tree during a holiday sale and it is amazing. It was super easy to put together, has been very stable as my 15lb kitty jumps on and off the platforms, and was an instant hit. Item came with a factory chemical smell, but after a day of airing out and some cat nip left on the levels that smell went away. So far my cat has been all over the different parts, and really loves the hide away section. He's not so much for the hammock, but he keeps seeing about climbing in it, so maybe with time he will figure out how to use it. We have another cat tree by the same brand that is 5 years older, and I would say that the quality has remained high with them. This is a great tree.
Its Very Nice Great Value

In the past, I have objected to getting my cats a tree because I find them unappealing, especially after they are torn and scratched. But this tree looked pleasing to me and I felt my cats deserved a new playground since they were looking bored. This tree is attractive and assembly was fast and easy, after arriving in 2 short days. It's covered with a slick fur fabric so my cats' claws just slide off of it. I think the fabric looks better than carpet. It's pretty tall which is what I wanted. Plenty of levels for a few cats to play on all at once. So far, only my youngest, more active cat is bouncing around on it and staring at the others from the very top bed. But as soon the other cats figure out its use, I am confident they will come to enjoy it.

this is the second 'amarkat' brand cat Tree (same size 72" - slightly different configuration) I have purchased and I am just as happy with this one as the one I bought 5 years ago. The Quality is terrific, the fabric fur is soft and these are easy to put together. The only thing I noticed was it had a funny smell to it out of the box - like a manufacturing/chemical slight smell; it has dissipated now (about 4 weeks) and it didn't seem to bother the cats, they use it all the time. They don't use the hammock, but it is really cute. they do like the hanging rope. Be sure to tighten the screws or it could be a tiny bit wobbly if your cats are jumpers. overall, I really like this product and would recommend it.
Sturdy and easy to put together
Maya from Rock Springs, WY – Verified Buyer
This cat tree is tall and wide, so be certain your room can accommodate such a large piece before buying it. I was pleased with how stable and sturdy and tightly constructed it is. Follow the instructions and you'll find it easy to put together. The faux fur is a nice, neutral color but it is not padded underneath; it's just thin cloth on top of plywood and the inside of the play house is not lined. My young, lively cat loved the toy fur balls that are attached, but she had zero interest in the cat tree itself and never used it, to my surprise and disappointment. I took it to Goodwill where everyone loved the look of it, and it sold almost instantly.

A tip: look for a coupon code before purchasing ;) At first I was worried my (formerly stray) cat would avoid it. But she sleeps/naps on it daily. She doesn't play on it too much unless we dangle a wand toy over it. She rarely scratches the posts but then again she rarely scratches anything. And, sigh, she also doesn't "get" the luxuriously soft hammock except to chew on the ropes it hangs from. Mostly, I wanted to her to have a place indoors she can peer out of the windows from and nap. This tree is perfect for that purpose. It's sturdy, easy to put together. No problems assembling whatsoever. Easy to vacuum, too. It's hard to know what your cat will like in a cat tree or even if they will like any tree at all. My cat is small and athletic (brings in several lizards a week) and loves to jump around but she pretty much uses the tree for her "downtime". That's OK with me.
My new kitten loves this tree
Susan TenEyck from Toccoa, GA – Verified Buyer
Really surprised at the height of this tree. Fits nicely in a corner and so far, good quality. Our kitten will love this tree when she gets older as well. As far as price, couldnot have asked for a better one.this tree would have cost me several hundred dollars at a pet store; I got a 10% discount and over 60# of FREE SHIPPING. My daughter and I put this tree together in about 15 minutes; tightens well and not wobbly at all when tightened correctly. We did swap out the standard beige and grey pom-pom ball toys with our own feather toys;that made a huge difference and you can replace the toys at anytime to switch it up some. Anytime our kitten tried to scratch on a wall trim, basket, or carpet,we picked her up and placed her on a post on her tree.In one week, she was using her tree condo posts and no longer inappropriate surfaces to stretch her arms and sharpen her claws.
Even better than the description and easy to assemble.

This went up in about two late night hours with 7 month-old cat's help. The material is fur-like, very soft. He didn't go tearing around on it when he saw it, as I expected he would, being such a climber, so I enticed him to each level with a treat. After that you couldn't keep him off of it. He's an Abyssinian/DSH with stripes so he blends in beautifully. The top two platforms are favorite places for surveying his entire kingdom below, and the penthouse is the perfect hideaway with optional viewing perspectives. So much more for the money than what can be found in the stores. The toys are fun, too. Love it!
