We have it close to a wall and a window. The cats insist on having the blinds open every day so they can climb the cat tree and look out at the birds. The tracking was great and right on point. It took Mango a couple of days to realize this is the one thing he could run up and claw to death like an animal! But, he loves it now! Sleeps on the very top platform, and sits up there to get away from my 9 month old. The only thing I found a misstep was the dome did not have a hole on the top to connect it to.
