Area Rugs

This rug is beautiful on my Asian Tigerwood wood floor. I have placed it under my dining room table. The dining room style is Country French (more French than country). The description says Oriental design, but I don't think it looks Oriental at all. It is well made and with a pad underneath, it is just the right thickness on my wood floor. I didn't want an ultra plush rug because if the rug is too thick, the chairs are hard to move in and out when seated. There is a border running around the outside and another about 11 inches in that looks like dots on a brownish background. The background is actually a beautiful burgundy. There is a little burgundy outlining in the center medallion but none in the ornate filigree on the navy background. There is just a little burgundy in the ivory border and some subtle green. I thought the whole ivory border had a greenish cast to it, looking at the picture, but it doesn't. The rug has so much more detail than the online picture depicts. The navy is a very nice blue, not a dark blue/black, although at night, the blue does darken somewhat. I had no problems with curled edges. What I really like is that it is not wool. I thought I wanted all wool rugs in my new house. I have a wool area rug in my living room, that rug has NOT quit shedding! I find clumps of fibers all over! I have repeatedly vacuumed it like suggested, but it still sheds. This Radici Noble rug is not wool so it doesn't shed but still has vibrant colors and looks very elegant. I ordered the Navy 7'9"x9'6" size and it is exactly the stated measurements. I was hesitant about ordering because return shipping would be quite high on a rug of this size, but I loved the design on this one and took a chance. I purchased this rug to help offset the dining area from the living room in my condo. I've had it for about a month now. I'm very happy with the value and overall effect, although you won't fool anyone that this is a really high-end rug. I had a hard time finding a classy, traditional design in this price range, so I was glad to find the Radici brand at Wayfair. It laid flat within a day of unpacking. I have it on carpet with my dining set on top of the rug, but I did not purchase a rug pad or grip. I have not had any problems with the rug slipping. I had originally tried the red color, but found it too overwhelming in my mostly neutral room. The blue is dark, but not so dark it looks black, and the other colors are mostly olive and mustard tones. There is still a little bit of red too. We now own 5 rugs from Wayfair. We use a large round rug in the entryway, a runner in the hall and the 8 X 10s in the office, dining room and master bedroom.[...] Colors were as advertised and we are very pleased with all of them. The only issue we had was trying to use one of the larger rugs on top of carpet. It creeped, and wrinkled, even with furniture on it. Rubber waffle pad didn't help. It was suggested that we used double sided tape but we didn't want to do that. So, we just moved it to a rrom with hardwood floors and it is fine there."..."  Read more

The rug has a beautiful pattern and is the right size, but it slides should came with rug pad. The rug was good quality there was no assembly. I paired it with my black couch which I also purchased from wayfair. They go perfect together."..."  Read more
