I bought this rug in a runner and a 2x3 for my kitchen on hardwood floors. It cleans up great! I made red frosting which required two full bottles of dye and dropped a big glob of it on the rug. I scooped it up in a hurry and didn't get around to trying to scrub the red out until two days later. It came out with just water and a little scrubbing. Cheese, dough and other foods which used to grind in and harden in my previous rug, don't hold on to this rug. The rug is soft and comfortable under foot but not too plush. It does slide around some, it needs something to keep it in place. The appearance is pretty close to the computer image. Although once the runner was on the floor it seemed a little lighter, not as dark as the picture. There are also little specks of a sage green that don't show in the picture,you don't really notice it unless you look closely. The red berries are more of a cranberry red, in the picture they seemed more of a brown red. After hours of looking at rugs I am very glad I chose this one, would buy again. I knew that ordering two rugs I was taking a chance they might not match. They lay side by side in two adjourning rooms (living & dining) and yes my concerns came true. But the rugs are so beautiful and nicely made that I kept anyway. The coloring is slightly different between the two and I knew the pattern would not be the same, but I was hoping that the colors would match better, but so far, I have been the only one to notice. Everyone else just say, "oh, you have new rugs and they are beautiful" A really big change from my last rugs, that were really light and more formal. These rugs fill the bill nicely."..."  Read more

I bought this rug for my foyer entrance. I needed a purple rug to match my purple velvet living room sofa ensemble. Finding a purple/eggplant rug in a traditional style is near impossible. The color is a deep wine, but is close enough for me to feel happy with the end effect for my entryway. I needed a large area rug and this one seemed to fit the bill. I was a little concerned because it was less expensive than many others. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised.
