Area Rugs

We bought this rug in order to protect our hardwood floors under our dining room table. We have two young children so basically the rug is being used as a dropcloth. We did get a quote from a carpet retailer who would have charged us almost the same amount as the rug but we would have ended up with a carpet remnant with no design, ugly colors from which to choose and we would have had to steam clean it when it became too dirty. The Spinx rug is perfect for us because it can be hosed down if need be and the best part is the design and colors. We've had the rug for almost a month now and plenty of food plus a full glass of milk has dropped on it and the rug still looks great. I'm contemplating ordering another for our front porch outside. The carpet is so inexpensive and the shipping was free so it's difficult to find a reason not to buy one. I will add that we did purchase the carpet pad to go underneath the rug but we are shopping around for the padding that resembles a somewhat thick felt fabric. We have friends that learned the hard way that some rugs on hardwood floors can leave the small woven design of the rug backing on the floor. They advised the felt-type rug padding so we're on the lookout for one though we haven't tried too hard yet. Purchased this rug for my living room after shopping MANY rugs for a long time. It is soft to walk on and so far hasn't shed too bad for a wool rug. Many reviewers complain of shedding of wool rugs, but this is just part of owning wool rugs, which make up for it in their quality, beauty and durability. The colors are extremely soft and muted. The designs are not as bold against the background as pictured. It has a washed, faded look, which I love. The brown is a true chocolate, not a cinnamon like my monitor showed (think the color of hot cocoa). My only negative comment about this is that it is advertised as a "Green" rug. There is not one green thread in this rug. The border and accents on the floral design are TEAL BLUE, which is what I was looking for. If you are hoping to achieve a green color scheme this isn't the rug. It is more of a torquoise and brown scheme. It is beautiful in my room and I can't believe the price on Wayfair for a rug of this quality!"..."  Read more

Delivery was as promised. The matching runner leading into the living area with the large rug works perfectly. I had to trim the carpet pad to fit under the rugs but that's okay. Quality of the rugs is very good and the rugs are beautiful."..."  Read more

This is a very nice rug, but before you buy it, consider this: it has a top and a bottom. If you examine the online image you are viewing it in the upright position, and you will most likely be impressed. Now imagine the same picture, turned up side down, and like any picture, when viewed up side down, it loses some of its impact. The same holds true when the rug is placed in a room. When you approach the rug, in the "upright" position, it pleases, but if you come into the room from a reverse angle, the rug loses something. When I first viewed this rug I did not like it, because I was viewing it up side down, but when I finally realized what was going on, I began to appreciate it. Rugs, such as most Orientals, which are for the most part symmetrical, do not have this issue, at least from my perspective."..."  Read more
