The square tubing is heavy enough to hold the weight. a small improvement Apex could supply heavier and larger outside diameter thrust washers,one needs a little care not to tighten the bolts so tight they can start to crush the tubing. If I ever disassemble mine I'll buy the twelve washers locally. This is not a real problem just don't over tighten. The only thing I found that I didnt like were the rubber feet on the bottom of each leg. They go one pretty rough and dont fit properly but other than that it is a great product.
