Cute little planter!

I ordered the Antique Revival planter in Natural as a decorative piece for my dining room table. The measurements given in the description are true to size, but once I put the planter on my table, it looked silly. It is too tall with the legs to be a centerpiece, and it is not long enough to take up the space of a centerpiece. On the bright side, I moved it to a side table in the dining room, filled it with decorative gravel, and have used it as a seasonal display. I have a candle in the middle and surround it with decorative items to match the seasons. It looks great! The Natural color is a medium to darker varnish, and it is shiny. There is nothing Shabby Elegance about this particular one, so if that is your desired look, I suggest a painted planter with the distressed finish. I can't imagine using this outdoors, as it would not seem likely to weather well. I also can't imagine putting dirt or water directly into it, as it would warp. If you need it as a planter, put a plastic pot inside (but know that it won't drain). Overall, this planter is very nice but really too narrow and fancy to be anything but a decorative piece.
Love This Windowsill Planter

Bought for my windowsill to keep herbs in. I have not actually planted any herbs yet but I love the look of it and right now it is doing a great job of storing our random items out of site.
Gorgeous on the window sill!!

TINY bit wobbly but looks BEAUTIFUL in the window sill. I filled it with a variety of different succulents and it is gorgeous! I wouldn't advise it for any plant with much of a root system because it is just not that wide or deep. I purchased two of them, one quickly developed a small crack on one side where a knot on the wood was close to the top but I wouldnt exchange it for anything, it rather enhances the planters character I think.

I was looking for a rustic planter for living plants. This turned out to be too shallow for most plantings but I love the look of it. Ultimately, I lined it with heavy plastic and filled it with living succulants since they require little watering. They are thriving and it looks great! Probably better with artificial plants.
Good looking but very shallow

I am using this with small, very small< pots with small succulents planted in them. It works for the place I have it but it is not suitable for anything but very shallow rooted, small plants such as succulents. I'm fine with that but I think it needs to be known.

Love this piece. I originally bought this for its intended use as a windowsill planter, but after receiving the product I thought it would fare better indoors. The distressed look of the planter brings character and substance. I am currently using this atop a rustic console in my entryway, but it would also be great as a table centerpiece decorated for the holidays.

Love my windowsill boxes!! I got the blue ones and feel they add a wonderful contrast to the rest of my decor! I have one on a harvest console table filled with small Fall yellow/orange berries, artificial acorns, and candles lit with battery operated flame.

This planter is of very good quality. The attention to detail of the finish is very good. This is advertized as a planter however it is not lined. This could be easily remedied I believe but I wouldn't plant in it without a liner of some kind.

I had great expectations and this planter met every single one of them. Great quality planter for the money.
Shallow but nice.

A little smaller than I thought, but it works for a succulent container. Just make sure to use a high end sealant like Vulkem to seal the seams so it doesn't leak!
