Met my needs/expectations

My two corgis (each weigh about 25-30 lbs) love these stairs! It helps them get up and down from the bed, which is about 27" high. Because of their long backs and short legs, they have trouble using most pet steps which are too steep and small. These steps are the closest to "human" stairs I could find. The item is exactly as pictured and described. PROS: The item is very sturdy, and I've sat on it (I weigh about 110 lbs) with no problems even though the limit says 55 lbs. I like that the carpet is glued/stapled directly onto the wood so that there are no issues with the fabric slipping and my dogs feel comfortable using it. Because of its solid construction, it's pretty quiet when my dogs use the stairs--I've noticed that other dog stairs can make annoying hollow sounds when dogs use them. We currently have it on a rug/carpet and it doesn't budge. CONS: The staples on the side of the stairs are unsightly and visible; the carpet looks cheap up close. I may get it replaced. There was an awful varnish/chemical smell for the first week, but it eventually faded. I'm hesitant to place it on my hardwood floors because there are no grips at the bottom to prevent it from sliding, though its weight should minimize this problem. A con for some folks might be that you can't remove the carpet for washing. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. It's one of the more attractive and sturdily constructed pet steps out there!

So, wasn't sure if my 17 year old cat would figure these out. But he went up and down within seconds of them being at the foot of the bed! They are ALMOST as wide as a real step. They are sturdy, well made...carpet is a pretty color, soft, and attached well. Too bad I can't post a photo! They are nice and HIGH, 21 inches and my bed is 28 inches high, so its perfect for my old man. If your animal is elderly, these will really help them out!! Pros: Comes Fully assembled! Just take them out of the box.
Sturdy but color is way off

This is a sturdy option for my dogs. I have it placed at the foot of a rather large kind bed frame and on my rug. It doesn't budge and the way the carpeting is attached, I think it will be a long time before I sustain any damage. The bad thing is the color gray is certainly not gray. It's beige. I am going to inquire to ensure the correct color was sent to me and if so, beware... it will not match any shade of gray that you may have.
Easy to use

My two small dogs, one 20 pounds and my tiny one, who is 4 pounds, figured this out with our instruction quickly. Within 2 days of receiving it. We got this mainly for our 4 pounder to join us while watching T.V. at night. Wonderful helper for us, and for our pup. It has a rug covering it, and that isn't glued very well. Not as straight as it should be, but not worth sending back.
