American Furniture Reflections Club Recliner

We bought two of these recliners about a year and a half ago. We were in love with them at first, but they began to give out pretty quickly (I weigh 150 lbs and my wife weighs 135 lbs). The fabric does not wear very well and the cushion begins to sink into the seat. Every time you try to close the recliner now the bottom of the footrest scrapes the floor. For $350-$400 a chair, I would try something else.

On the positive side, the recliner is nice and compact and pretty comfortable. A couple of cons...the color is not at all like the picture, the chair doesnt stay in recline mode unless youre very still, and lastly, the chair had a peculiar odor for several weeks after delivery.

I really like this chair. I'm considering another one. Comes fully assembled. Smooth two-position action. Color is neutral light brownish, compatible with most color schemes, has some pattern so lint and a few cat hairs won't stand out too much. Seems very sturdy. Looks terrific. Is not too big so as to be overwhelming. It looks great in my living room and most guests don't even realize it's a recliner until I tell them. Nice classic look. My furniture is very traditional and this chair goes well with it. The chair is medium sized, which was one of the things I liked about it. It can't be directly against a wall as the back needs room to recline, but it's nicely upholstered and looks fine from any direction. Overall, a very solid recommendation.

just got it. Color (chestnut) nice, rich looking, lighter than most browns, but very neutral. Looks good on my burgundy and red Oriental carpets. Seems sturdy and is quite comfortable. Got it for a reading chair and it really fits the bill. You'll want to use a small pillow for your head when in full-back position, otherwise, great.
