Amco Houseworks Dial A Slice Apple Slicer - 8749

I've wanted one of these for a long time and this one works great! It does take a lot of pressure to get the slicer into the apple, but then it slices cleanly.

I purchased this based on an America's Test Kitchen review I saw of a similar model made by Williams Sonoma (with a MUCH heftier price tag). This product seemed to be exactly the same. My family has used it often since our purchase and I am really happy with it. It is sturdy, easy to clean and the plastic base means no attached slices. They come off perfectly! I have always preferred thinner slices of apple and this is perfect. My only gripe is that ours does not make the slices uniform in size as it should. Every other slices is slightly thicker, but only by a small margin. This is so slight and insignificant a flaw that it barely deserves mentioning. I LOVE this slicer!
