I use the sconces as night lights in my foyer. Actually I leave them on all the time for atmosphere and beauty. However, lights don't last very long. I go through a lot of batteries."

The colors really draw the eye to the lamp. You should use frosted bulbs for less glare, though. Also, I sealed areas between the wall and glass with tape to block light from escaping from behind.
