We have a dining room that has become our music room. We wanted a nice warm feeling in the room and replaced the chandelier (which no longer hangs over the table because we took the table out and added a piano, chairs and a love seat with a coffee table). We have some very old photos and paintings of ancestors on two opposite walls. The combination of the Murray Feiss Russell Chandelier centered on the ceiling and our new matching Russell Sconces replacing the existing ones on the other two opposite walls has completely transitioned the room to a cozy and dramatic music room with huge potential to be a very appealing dining room someday if we ever switch it back. When I discovered the sconces I knew I'd love them. They give warm light and a nice aged wrought iron curving sort of grace. I sort of feel like I'm in a castle when I sit in that room! Well, there you have it. A dining room turned music room with center chandelier and matching wall sconces. Let me tell you... I LOVE IT and when I change it back into a dining room it will work just wonderfully. These sconces are lovely but not in a dainty way. They certainly grace the walls with structure and warmth. This is a setting that welcomes candles without competing with them and music belongs here. My adult kids LOVE this music room. Haven't actually put it up on the wall yet--it is great looking, seems to be high quality. ONE ISSUE I'm having is that the "bar" that the 3 lights are on is concave/curved so that the 2 outer light shades sit closer to the wall. I'm planning on putting it facing down over a recessed med. cabinet that has wood trim--a retro looking cabinet. SO, the outside shades won't fall over the cabinet entirely, the middle light is fine. I have not had the light installed yet but as far as the appearence goes, I'm pleased. After reading one of the reviews that said the light was almost black, it made me nervous but the light I recieved was the perfect shade of a very deep brown. The only bad thing I would say is that the color isn't totally consistant. It seems to have a few spots on the lamps that are a bit lighter but I honestly will never notice once the light is on the wall. Overall, it looks good and the price was right."..."  Read more

We needed to replace the light over an existing medicine cabinet. This fixture can be installed with the lights either facing up or down. The shade extends 8" from the wall, so if you are planning to mount the lights in the down position above a cabinet, you need to make sure that bottom of the circuit box is at least 10" above the cabinet door swing. We mounted the lights facing up because we didn't have enough clearance to mount the lights down, and we get ample lighting bouncing off the ceiling to illuminate the mirror for shaving and makeup. A licensed electrician installed the fixture for us, but it could be installed by any novice who remembers to turn off the power to the circuit."..."  Read more
