The light is substantial, so if you are looking for a slim light this one is not the one to buy. The light sticks out the perfect amount to highlight the painting. I have not had the light installed yet but as far as the appearence goes, I'm pleased. After reading one of the reviews that said the light was almost black, it made me nervous but the light I recieved was the perfect shade of a very deep brown. The only bad thing I would say is that the color isn't totally consistant. It seems to have a few spots on the lamps that are a bit lighter but I honestly will never notice once the light is on the wall. Overall, it looks good and the price was right."..."  Read more

I looked high and low for diffused light for our home theater room that wasn't cheesy or commercial looking. This light not only performs perfectly for a home theater, it's a statement piece - beautiful wall art. We have two with the rubbed bronze finish mounted on a long wall above a long dark brown leather sectional and they provide the perfect, diffused ambient light. Sometimes you need a little light to see the spread of appetizers you've laid out on the coffee table for movie night or game time!
