• I purchased two lamps to act as bedside lamps and/or lighting for artwork over the bed, or just mood lighting. They went on either side of the bed. • My main frustration will be evident from the photo. I thought the entire neck of the light was flexible. IT IS NOT. A section of the neck before the lamp shade is flexible, and I think there is a very small area of flexibility right at the base. There is a long stretch between the base and the flexible part that LOOKS like it would flex, but it is fixed straight. This made it a less "adjustable" light. • I was really happy that the lights had dimming knobs on them. However, our electrician installed them on a dimmer switch (which was redundant). So the "double dimming" potential seemed to cause the lights to be a bit funky in brightness if both dimming functions were active at the same time (they would switch brightness levels while you're just standing there not touching them). Perhaps it's best to have the lights on a basic wall switch and dim them from their knobs on the lights themselves, OR, always leave the lights on their brightest setting and then dim them from the wall dimmer switch. I searched a long time online to find sconces with such an attractive design. These are lovely, with the look of alabaster and pewter at a fraction of the cost. They perfectly match a chandelier I had previously bought made of brushed nickel and faux alabaster globes. They are large enough to be featured one on each side of my dining room door. One consideration is that the sconces do not have an on/off switch, as some do, so before wiring them into the wall make sure the wall switch will operate them. In our case it did not, for some reason, but rather than return them we had an electrician adjust the inside wiring to add a switch. I would recommend installing a dimmer switch, as we did with sconces in our living room - it gives variable ambient light for different occasions."..."  Read more

We bought two of these for a Master Bath remodel to replace the old 80's brass hollywood strip that ran 7 ft across top of mirror. I was nervous going down to far fewer bulbs may not give us enough vanity light, so added side sconces to our design as well. Even with the sconces off, these two bars give us plenty of nice quality light. It may even be more light than the old huge hollywood strip, but it's a nicer quality light too. I wanted fixtures that blended into the whole design of the room rather than draw attention to themselves and these do exactly that. Beautiful simple, clean lines. This light fixture is beautiful and perfect. I had a smaller fixture with lower watt bulb requirements for over 5 years and I didn't have enough light. Not to mention the old one never mounted flush to the wall. This five light fixture is a great size for my 61" double vanity space, fits flush to the wall and I have 100 watt bulbs that finally give me the light I've needed."..."  Read more
