My wife and I love the look of the lamp, but I cant comment on how it functions or looks on the wall because it isnt installed yet. Were building a new home and had the electrician rough in two spots above the headboard for the Pharmacy Swing Arm. But when the light showed up, we couldnt install it because the plate on the light is much smaller than a typical electrical box. My electrician is going to have to make a plate to mount on the wall to cover the electrical box. The fixture will attach to the plate. Moral of the story If you are doing a hard wire into the wall (not pluggin it in to an exterior receptacle) make sure you use a rectangular switch box to wire and mount the fixture to."..."  Read more

These lamps look great in our master bedroom - very classy and no glare from light bulb. If we had used a standard lamp it would have sat too high w/ our existing outlet junction box and buld would have been in our eyes. The cover DOES fit over a standard 3x5 junction box, however the plate that comes w/ the lamp did not line up properly w/ the holes in the junction box. The plate had two holes, and the hole in the box was directly between those two holes - my husband had to cut a slot to connect the two holes - and then everything lined up perfectly. Bit of a pain but worked and IS made for direct hard wire. Very pleased w/ lamps and price!!"..."  Read more

Matches my contemporary living room beautifully. I was trying to buy the double sconce version of this light but its been discontinued and none are available. I figured Id need more than two of these to properly light my living room (I was right) but I started with two. Will order the other two when Im ready to run more wiring. We love these lights. Got 3 of them for the kids room.Requires a little fiddling to install, the company provides a template that can be taped to the wall - it has the screw holes marked. The giraffe is a very good quality ceramic sculpture (no air bubbles etc) the head and the body are two separate parts with the fixture between them.
