These worked beautifully and match our other bedroom hardware and dresser pulls in brushed steel/nickel. The shade is the big surprise. I expected a beige shade with dark threads/fibers as shown. I got the matching chandelier several years ago and purchased two of the wall sconces for the staircase to my lower level, I was worried about being able to see the light bulb since the glass is half moon shaped but all we needed to do was adjust the light bulb so it didn't show going down the stairs, but it was easy (or at least easy for my handy man). I bought this light for a guest bathroom where there is no natural light. The five bulbs give off more than enough light. I was going for an old world look without being too ornate, and I think this fixture does the trick. I looked a long time and this one was the right combination of style and price.
