I put these wall sonces on the wall of an old house I own, built in 1926. I didn't want to tear up the walls to hard wire them, so this was the solution, and they look beautiful. I purchased these to hang next to a sofa in a sunroom. They are quite attractive and look more pricey than they were. They provide an adequate amount of light, and since the arm moves, the light can be positioned to assist with reading etc.They give very nice ambient lightling. I am pleased with this selection.
