All Wall Lights

We have a dining room that has become our music room. We wanted a nice warm feeling in the room and replaced the chandelier (which no longer hangs over the table because we took the table out and added a piano, chairs and a love seat with a coffee table). We have some very old photos and paintings of ancestors on two opposite walls. The combination of the Murray Feiss Russell Chandelier centered on the ceiling and our new matching Russell Sconces replacing the existing ones on the other two opposite walls has completely transitioned the room to a cozy and dramatic music room with huge potential to be a very appealing dining room someday if we ever switch it back. When I discovered the sconces I knew I'd love them. They give warm light and a nice aged wrought iron curving sort of grace. I sort of feel like I'm in a castle when I sit in that room! Well, there you have it. A dining room turned music room with center chandelier and matching wall sconces. Let me tell you... I LOVE IT and when I change it back into a dining room it will work just wonderfully. These sconces are lovely but not in a dainty way. They certainly grace the walls with structure and warmth. This is a setting that welcomes candles without competing with them and music belongs here. My adult kids LOVE this music room. Haven't actually put it up on the wall yet--it is great looking, seems to be high quality. ONE ISSUE I'm having is that the "bar" that the 3 lights are on is concave/curved so that the 2 outer light shades sit closer to the wall. I'm planning on putting it facing down over a recessed med. cabinet that has wood trim--a retro looking cabinet. SO, the outside shades won't fall over the cabinet entirely, the middle light is fine. This Mission Style Light is both attractive and purposeful. It offers five standard light bulb fixtures, which allows more than amble lighting. The choice is yours as to which bulbs to use. I chose Halogen standard bulbs, offering good, clean lighting. The Mission Style Light looks beautiful in my master bath. I locally shopped for lighting AND shopped online. As far as value goes, this light is terrific. The customer service I was provided sold me completely. I directly called twice to ask questions about the light and left the conversation feeling confident that my choice was a good one. We installed this a couple of months ago over a bath vanity. The fixture is nice - mine has no quality issues, and it appears to be very well constructed for the price. It looks nice - modern but not edgy. Works well in a transitional or contemporary bath. I will buy more of these for the next bath remodel. We have tried mounting it with the lights pointing up and down, and noticed a few things 1) The glass and bulbs extend pretty far down (or up) - about 8 from the junction-box centerline. In our case, when pointing up, the lights were too close to the ceiling, and it wasted a lot of light. 2) Pointing down, we get much more useable light on the vanity. But because of the 8 offset, when mounted over a mirror, we needed to set the mirror a bit lower than expected, to avoid glare from the lights. So be sure you know where the J-box is, depending on whether you want to mount this facing up or down... and how high the vanity mirror is relative to the fixture We plan to buy"..."  Read more
