All Wall Lights

We are using two of these lights...one on either side of a king-sized bed and they do a great job as reading lights. The 35 watt halogen bulb is more than adequate for this purpose, and the dimmer/switch lets us get just the right illumination. Installation was very straight forward and the lights weigh little enough that the sheetrock anchors give a very good installation, with no need to adjust the locations to secure them to an underlying stud. Look at the dimensions though as we did, and be aware that these lights are not physically large. You need to have a plan for "hiding" the electric cords. The black large diameter 3-wire cords are not very attractive against a white or light colored wall. We bought a couple of lengths of white cordmate tubing and ran the cords through them to the floor. Some white vinyl electrical tape was used hide the bit of cord at the interface between the light and the cordmate tubing. My wife and I love the look of the lamp, but I cant comment on how it functions or looks on the wall because it isnt installed yet. Were building a new home and had the electrician rough in two spots above the headboard for the Pharmacy Swing Arm. But when the light showed up, we couldnt install it because the plate on the light is much smaller than a typical electrical box. My electrician is going to have to make a plate to mount on the wall to cover the electrical box. The fixture will attach to the plate. Moral of the story If you are doing a hard wire into the wall (not pluggin it in to an exterior receptacle) make sure you use a rectangular switch box to wire and mount the fixture to."..."  Read more

I put these wall sonces on the wall of an old house I own, built in 1926. I didn't want to tear up the walls to hard wire them, so this was the solution, and they look beautiful. Love this light, it was exactly what I had been looking for. The added bonus is that it has individual dimmer switch for each of the lights. It looks great over our newly made upholstered headboard. We didn't hard wire it in, just used the plug in cord that was on it. Debated on bedside table lamps but since we have a ceiling light fixture it was not necessary to take up the table space, these lights are bright when turned up all the way."..."  Read more
